Vacuum packaging electronics

Safely packaged while maintaining functionality and quality.

Fully protected

In the world of electronics, where precision and durability are crucial, the vacuum packaging of electronic components offers perfect protection. Whether for printed circuit boards, sensors or chips, packaging these products using a special machine that is suitable for an electrostatic discharge safe environment will protect them against moisture, dirt and dust. Discover the benefits of vacuum packing electronics, where accuracy and functionality come together in advanced packaging.

Which electronics can be vacuum packed?

Printed circuit boards
Vacuum packing protects sensitive electronic components against dirt, moisture and oxidation. This preserves them for longer.
Electronic modules
Smaller electronic components such as microcontrollers and microprocessors, as well as complex circuits, maintain optimal functions when they are vacuum packed.
Electronic components
Electronic components can be damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD). We have machines that can prevent this.
Chips
Smaller electronic parts such as chips can also be vacuum sealed completely safely. This keeps them free from dust, light and air. Useful for storage and transportation.

Advantages of vacuum sealing electronics

Protection from dust, dirt and moisture

Removing all the air from the packaging and then sealing it creates an airtight barrier. This ensures that electronic components and devices are protected against dust, dirt and moisture or other harmful external factors.

Reduced oxidation

Vacuum sealing your product in a special bag drastically reduces the oxidation of metal components. This is important for maintaining the conductive properties of electronics.

Protection against electrostatic charge

Some electronic components are sensitive to the electrostatic charges. A machine that is suitable for an ESD-safe area prevents these products from being damaged during vacuuming. So that you can package them completely safely.

Optimisation of storage and transport

Removing all the air from a package reduces its size. As well as optimising the size of your products, the sleek vacuum packaging also protects against shocks and vibrations during transport.

This is how you vacuum seal electronics

Electronic components can become statically charged during a packaging process. If you still want to use vacuum packaging, choose a Henkelman with ESD protection. You put your electronic component or device in the right bag and choose the required program. When the vacuum sealing process is complete, the bag will be automatically sealed before the chamber fills with air again and you can open the lid. Useful functions when vacuuming electronics:

Electrostatic discharge (ESD)

Special version for packing electronic components that are sensitive to possible static charges that may be generated by the machine and its process.

Frequently asked questions

How do I prevent electrostatic charge?

Henkelman has several vacuum packing machines that are suitable for ESD-safe areas. In combination with ESD-safe vacuum bags you can prevent your electronic components form being damaged by electrostatic discharge.

Can I vacuum pack sharp electronic items?

Yes. Printed circuit boards with sharp components or other pointy electronics or equipment can be safely packaged using the soft air function. This function is available on all Henkelman vacuum packing machines except the Jumbo.
